The Soul of America

The soul of America was exposed on

election night

Tuesday November 5, 2024.

And there was hand-wringing, crying, and deep despair felt across the nation.

And there was hand-waving, crying, and deep joy felt across the nation.

We look now toward the future of our country, a land that has been described in the following way (paraphrased by me just a bit):

AMERICA, THE BEAUTIFUL

O beautiful for spacious skies,

For amber waves of grain,

For purple mountain majesties

Above the fruited plain!

America! America!

God shed [God's] grace on thee

And crown thy good with brother- [and sister-] hood

From sea to shining sea!

We, the people: Our future is to look inward first, and then, to  face outward and look forward together, sharing our commonalities!
