EQUINOX

The Autumn Equinox 2026 occurred on:
Tuesday, September 22, 2026
at 8:05 p.m. EDT; 5:05 p.m. PDT,
marking the official astronomical start of fall and the end of summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
However, there is a secret hidden in the autumn equinox.
We often think of the equinox as something that arrives separately in each place. But it occurs at one price moment—the same moment everywhere on Earth.
Our clocks may show different times. In some place it may be mornng; in others, evenng. The date may even differ. And while the Northern Hemishere welcomes autumn, the Southern Hemisphere enters spring.
Still, the astronomical event is one shared moment.
Think about that.
We have divided the Earth with borders. We have separated ourselves by natinality, religion, beliefs, and countless other distinctions. Too often, those distinctions vecome us and them.
The Earth does not recognize any of these divisions.
It simply turns.
We inhabit one small planet and travel together through darkness and light. No country owns our sun. No people control the seasons. The sky above us is undivided.

The equinox also reminds us of balance.
Light and darkness meet, and neither erases the other.
After the autumn equinox, darkness increases. but we know the movement will eventually reverse.
The Earth is our teacher.
Darkness is never all there is.
Change is always coming.
We belong to one Earth whole.
And we are traveling through this moment together.
Maybe that is the equinox’s real secret.
